Algorithmic Trading: +2000% ROI in one year

During last year i've been playing around with some scripts and ea's, you know, ..optimizing them, doing tests, tweaking stuff.

Below is a screenshot of one of my accounts. ROI: +2000% so far. It outperformed the month of january 2014, it made 685% in January 2014!!! unbelievable! It was setup to increase the lot size once it gains, and of course to reduce it in case of loses. I also set it up to always use SL and TP.

Algorithmic Trading CAN Be Profitable

Wow. After one year of Optimizing one of my Algorithmic Trading scripts, and worked so great, I decided to  upload the account statement screenshot online. The result Consistent Profit of 653.1% ROI after one year and about 2 months. 261% this month alone.

I will keep doing tests on it.

Forex Accounts Performance for the last year to date - Trade Forex

I have to say that 2013 has been a great year for my forex trading activity.I 've been doing manual trading, mirror trading, algorithmic trading, also had some issues with some brokers :)) but they are solved now, lol.

 Just want to share with my people a few accounts.

This one, has been opened in December 2012. Initial Deposit 10,000 usd. Right now, its balance is 34,276.37. The Max Drawdown was 23.60% (a little bit higher for my taste, but that happened early when I was doing optimization work as we talk about Algorithmic trading here). So I find this acceptable. Another account that I'd like to share is the following one:
Initial deposit:     100,000.00 USD
Current Balance: 308,645.38 USD (tripled in about 8 months)
Max DD: 7.74%

These made me craete a new demo 5 million account and see how I can perform on bigger accounts (using less risk of course , just like the big players in the forex market)


So,

Initial Deposit    5,000,000.00 USD
Actual Balance: 5,272,472.58 USD (around 5,5%  in 8 months as per MyFXBook Calculations)
Max Drawdown: 0.43% (as I went with really really small risk ... around 0.02%)





All these trades used Stop Loss, and trailing Stop Loss , so this wasn't gambling. you can check the trade hostory on myfxbook.

I also traded manually, using FXCM's Trading Station II. I'll find a way to publish my account on myfxbook. anyway, at this moment that account has $50,833.06  and a 51,023.81 in Equity. (I am not trading  it too often and i am using small risk). but everything is good so far.


Here are some Automated trading screenshots :) ( MirrorTrading). This was a demo account, but unfortunately the MirrorTrader demo accounts expires after 30 days. Anyway, I created a winning portfolio and made a nice profit within the trial period.

On my Manual Account, I still have 1/4 position open from Nov. 27th which is at 600pips right now. Hopefully I get 1000 pips ..AT LEAST! :)) (I have locked in profit, so I took the risk out off the table)

Trading Non-Farm Payrolls

Anybody touched the trading platform today? Did anyone trade the NFP release today ( January 10, 2014)

I did. :) ... manually in one account and using algorithmic trading in other 3 accounts.

Great results trading forex today. 300 usd my manual NFP trading strategy  and over 35K in other 3 accounts (automated).

Trade Forex Idea - Sell AUDUSD - Nov. 27, 2013

I am going to add to my sell position if I see a breakout 0.91000 in AUDUSD

Here is the chart:

Okay. I Added and today Dec 4, 2013 I took out of the table half of the first position (+281 pips).
I have also moved the Stop Loss at breakeven, looking to exit the second half at around 8.9000 - 8.8450 for about 450 pips more.

TRADE UPDATE: Dec 18th, 2013

I am still in that AUDUSD Sell trade. However, One of my 2 positions just closed  with a total gain of +240 pips.

The other position is at +440 pips and if the price closes below support (the red line, I may add a small new position), and I definitelly move my existing position's Stop Loss above the last high (around 0.9000) to book some more pips.

I am also looking at .618 Fibonacci Expansion , which would be the Profit Target for my open position.(the Blue line). But I may also, just move the stop lower and take what the market is willing to give me on this trade. (remember I already took half of profit at about +280 pips) and another full trade at 240 pips today. Not bad.

Let's see what the market is willing to give... Another at least 1000 pips in one trade? :))

TRADE UPDATE: I still have that portion of 1/4 running. Currently at +500pips. hopefully i get at least +1,000 pips. It is a free risk trade as I locked in 200 pips.

Trade Forex - 2000 pips in one trade

Hello. this will be a quick post . Just wanted to share with you how good I do feel after I found the screenshot from one on my old demo accounts where I booked 2000 pips by trading forex manually between July and September 2013.

I was using multiple lots and after I took some profit and moved the stop loss to breakeven + 10 pips i was fighting with my emotions.

As far as I remember I closed this position in profit of 1800+ pips but it touched more than 2000 pips.

I admit that I had hard times to control my emotions, and I bet, that, if that was a real account, I wouldn't stay that long into that trade :))

Anyway, here is the screenshot

I am going to repeat that forex experience one day... hopefully with my actual AUDUSD trade where I am 200 pips on profit already.

That's why I like to trade forex. You can really make money.

Trading Non-Farm Payroll gave me 250 usd in less than 5 minutes

Hello fellows traders

Today I booked 250 USD trading NFP in manual mode with a method that I have learned last night into a free webinar. Awesome!!! Initially I wanted to take profit at around 99 but I didn't want to risk and I wanted to enjoy the weekend. :) (i am aware of moving the Stop loss at breakeven, but again, 250 is more than 0 in case it turns against me)

Update: As you can see in the picture below my first target has been touched ( the red line at 99.00) , but enough is enough. :)
